I got a message about two months ago to take a family picture after Christmas, here are a few pictures from a few weeks ago. I had such a great time with the families and really just enjoyed taking the “silly” pictures with not only the kids but the adults, which I will keep hidden for the time being Well I hope you enjoy and leave the family some love below in the comments!
Meagan Van Engen has been a good friend over the last 4 years at college and when I first got into photography she willingly let me take some pictures of her and I thought it would be fitting to take some pictures after we graduated as well. Meagan did insist that we go back to one door that had the number “27″ above of it. Once I got back and looked at the pictures I realized she did the same exact pose again. So the last picture is one from my first shoot and the other is from this one… So enjoy!

I had the awesome opportunity to shoot a Wake Forest game. Since this may have been my last big game I shoot, I decided to rent a 300mm 2.8 to go with my 5D3. The combo was AWESOME and here are a few pictures from the night! Oh yeah it also rained the entire first half but the 300 and 5D just kept on truckin!
So I had a wedding in VA and had the chance to stay with my good friend Jeff, Jeff had just gotten a new car and I had the pleasure to drive it as well as taking some pictures of it, and here are a few of the shots!
While I was living in Lynchburg, VA and going to Liberty, I was asked by a friend to take some pictures of her “Leadership Teams” so after finally getting a day where all the girls could meet up the weather took a turn for the worse and we moved the shoot to Liberty’s Snowflex the day of. Luckily we were able to take a few pictures just outside of one of the doors (where I got to sit inside taking pictures). But for the change of plans this was one of my favorite last minute changes!
So I got a call from an old friend asking to take some engagement pictures of him and his fiance’ which of course I said yes. The request was an open field at sunset with some lens flares. Luckily just a few weeks before I drove past this huge field about 30 miles away. Here are a few pictures from the evening!
While working at Liberty University I had the pleasure of working for Carrie Barnhouse. Carrie is a creative professional and wanted some new head shots for her new blog she was working on. Luckily when we decided on a date it snowed the day before and it allowed us to get some pretty awesome shots!
Nearing the end of 2011 I had a small problem with my facebook page. I had 666 likes and that had to change, so it was time for a game. So I held who could get the most likes contest and in return I would give them a free photoshoot. In the end Adalia came out on top and we took an evening in Downtown Lynchburg and here are a few of the final shots!
This is the first shoot where everything began to change for me as a photographer. At this point in time I was working for Liberty University shooting more of a corporate style of shooting with a photojournalistic flair and loving it. In an effort to learn more about photography I signed up for VCAR 461 (advanced digital photography), while in that class I had an assignment of shooting an engagement shoot. Somehow I got connected with Christi and when we talked about the shoot we ended up talking about their wedding as well. One thing led to another then in 2012 I left Liberty and started shooting on my own. So here are a few of my favorites from that shoot!
When I was asked to take capture a band that had just made it on the warped tour I knew I had a some thinking to do. One of the questions I asked myself was how to capture the personalty in just a mere photo. Every band member has his on taste and flair. Looking back on this session I am more than happy with the way everything turned out over a year and a half later! Below you can see a few of the images from that day, from the band fighting itself to just some crazy shots.
